An Istanbul-based Kurdish photojournalist and visual anthropologist. She documents stories at the intersection of gender equality, migration, urban transformation, ecology, cultural heritage, and archaeology. With a background in journalism and visual storytelling, she has worked with international media outlets and participated in community-based photography workshops. Her work reflects a strong commitment to amplifying underrepresented voices.

Born in 1990 in Istanbul, she graduated from Marmara University’s Department of Journalism. She studied press photography for two years at the Galata Fotoğrafhanesi Academy of Photography and worked as a photojournalist and editor for numerous national and international media outlets. She worked as a photojournalist at the international photography agency EPA, and as a program coordinator, video editor, and content editor at Pel Production. Her photographs have been published in newspapers and magazines such as The Guardian, The Telegraph, Stern, Kurier, Noticias, De Standaard, and Die Zeit. In addition to press photography, she has exhibited works in the field of documentary photography. She coordinated the “Van and Roboski Children’s Photography Workshop” and attended workshops led by photographer Carolyn Drake at the Diyarbakır Arts Center (DSM). In 2018, she worked as a freelance photographer for Marketing Türkiye magazine. Since 2019, she has been working as the archaeology photographer for the Sardis Ancient City excavations conducted by Harvard University and Cornell University. Alongside numerous archaeological publications, she was among the photographers featured in the book Ordinary Lydians at Home. She also worked as the video editor for the promotional film of Assos Ancient City, which was exhibited at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. She currently lives in Istanbul and works as a freelance photographer and video editor.

Nació en 1990 en Estambul. Se graduó en el Departamento de Periodismo de la Universidad de Mármara.
